The construction industry is central to creating homes and community buildings that support the development of effective infrastructure that society needs.
Electricians install, maintain and repair electrical systems in industrial, commercial and domestic environments.
Electricians might work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Electrical equipment and systems may include switchboards, motors, cables, fuses, thermal relays, fault current protection switches, heating, lighting, air conditioning and metering equipment as well as crime and fire alarm systems and renewable energy technologies.
Which job roles is this Apprenticeship suitable for?
Installation Electrician or Maintenance Electrician
Electrical Apprentices would usually be expected to have Level 2 English and maths prior to joining the course however those who join without it, will need to achieve it prior to taking the end-point assessment.
You will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job but we can assist you in finding a placement.
