  • Is this course for you?

The BPEC Low Temperature Hot Water Heating Systems qualification is recommended as a prerequisite for progressing to the BPEC Level 3 Award in Heat Pump Systems (Non-refrigerant Circuits) ETS-008.

It should be noted that holding this qualification does not qualify an individual as a competent installer of low-temperature hot water and heating systems. However, it does certify the individual as competent in the design of such systems.

  • Required qualifications

Learners should have a minimum NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in plumbing or conventional heating engineering, or a demonstrable number of years of relevant experience.

  • What skills will I develop?

The qualification is aimed primarily at practicing plumbers and heating engineers who already have an understanding of the fundamental requirements of central heating systems and who wish to design and install energy efficient low temperature hot water heating systems that may use heat pumps as the heat source.

  • Careers

While it is primarily intended as a recommended prerequisite for advancing to the BPEC Heat Pump qualifications, this course is also suitable for experienced professionals looking to enhance their skills in designing low-temperature domestic heating systems.
