Applying for roles with us

When you click on each role to read the details, you will have the opportunity to apply for the role or share it with others who you think might be interested – we are very happy if you do either or both of these 🙂

When you apply you will be asked to set up an account with us – if you forget your login details, you will be able to re-set them.  We will only see the details of your application form when you press submit.  You cannot submit the form without completing all the details.

Safeguarding is very important to us as is how we manage your data please take time to read these documents (outlined in the section What you need to know about applying for a role at SSC) as you will be asked if you have read them as part of the application form process.

We know that completing application forms is time-consuming, however, because of legislation that governs us, we cannot accept CV’s and therefore the application form is all we know about you. We use job specifications which combine the job requirements as well as a description of the type of person skills required for the role. It is important when completing your application form that you match your skills and experience with the details provided in the job specification. Please take the time and complete your application form as fully as possible to give yourself the best chance of meeting our criteria, gaining that interview and joining us as a member of our team.

For efficiency we use MHR iTrent which means some emails are auto generated, because of this some browsers automatically move these emails to Junk/Spam so if you are expecting an email from us please ensure you are checking your Junk and Spam folders as well as your main inbox.

Please note we do not receive speculative applications. Agencies should not approach individual staff within the college regarding candidates unless given specific permission by HR.
